At Get Box Storage, all our packaging supplies are carefully selected to ensure durability during both moving and storage. Our cardboard cartons are built from tough, double-layered corrugated board, offering superior protection for your belongings.

We strongly advise using our high-quality boxes—they’re built to handle heavy loads and are ideal for both shipping and storage purposes. 

You can use your own boxes but we will not be held liable for any damage that may occur due to the customers boxes they use. Please ensure that all boxes you use are sealed correctly and there is no damage that could cause the box to open.

Yes you will get a call 30 to 60 minutes before the driver arrives to inform you he is on his way. Please do not leave things to the last minute, and make sure all the boxes are ready to go and are left outside the property of the ground floor.

We can collect your boxes from almost any UK address, whether that’s your home, your workplace, or your student accommodation.

To help your collection go smoothly, please enter your full address and postcode accurately when booking. If your home is in a gated complex or your driver needs to ring a buzzer for access, let us know in advance. It also helps if you tell us if you’re leaving your boxes with a concierge or at reception.

Our standard collection includes collection from the ground floor. Please ensure your boxes are packed, sealed, and ready on the ground floor when your driver arrives.

With our standard collection service, your driver will arrive anytime between 9am and 9pm on your chosen collection day. Please ensure that you, or someone you trust, is available for the entire window so we can collect your boxes without any issues.

For most UK postcodes, we’ll email you a 4-hour estimated collection window the day before to help you plan your day.

Delivery & Collection Pricing

To keep things simple, our pick-up and drop-off charges are based on standard local taxi rates. This means you only pay for the distance between the collection address and the delivery address—no complicated fees or hidden costs.

While we don’t physically inspect the contents of your boxes, we strongly recommend that you take a clear photo of the inside of each box before sealing it. This helps you remember exactly what you’ve packed and allows us to help you locate and return specific items when you need them.

Once your box is packed, please take a second photo of the sealed box with its label or identification clearly visible. This could be your name, your box ID number, or a description that will help you identify it later.

Unfortunately we only offer a box collection service were all boxes have been packed, sealed and photographed and videoed by the customer. We do not offer a box packing service sorry all customers or someone they have informed us will be there on the day of collection.

Q: The boxes on Amazon don’t always match your exact box sizes. Is that a problem?

No problem at all. We provide Amazon affiliate links to help you easily find boxes, but sometimes the exact measurements may vary depending on what’s available. Our standard storage sizes are based on combined dimensions (length + width + height):

• Small Box: Up to 110cm combined

• Medium Box: Up to 125cm combined

• Large Box: Up to 167cm combined

If the box you purchase is slightly different in size, we simply place it into the correct category based on its total combined dimensions. This ensures fair pricing no matter where you buy your boxes.

So you’re free to use any box you choose — as long as it’s sturdy and can be safely stored, we’ll measure it on collection and apply the storage price that matches its size category.

Q: Do you offer discounts for long-term storage or specific groups?

Yes — we provide two types of discounts:

1. Long-Term Storage Discounts

The longer your boxes stay in storage, the more you save. Discounts are automatically applied each month:

There are no contracts — discounts apply automatically as your storage duration increases.

2. Student & OAP Discount

We offer an additional 25% discount for:

• Students

• OAPs (Over 60+)

To receive this discount, simply provide a valid student ID or proof of age at the time of booking. This discount applies to your monthly storage cost and can be used alongside long-term discounts.
